- For browser-based tools (tools.petropt.com): data is processed client-side in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers unless the tool explicitly states otherwise
- For API-based tools (petro-mcp): data is transmitted to our servers for processing, results are returned, and input data is not retained beyond the duration of the request unless you explicitly save it to your account
- We do not use your engineering data to train machine learning models
- We do not share your engineering data with third parties
- For enterprise consulting engagements, data handling is governed by your specific agreement or Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
5. How We Handle Resume Data (jobs.petropt.ai)
- Resumes are parsed using AI to extract skills, experience, and qualifications
- Parsed data is used to match you with relevant job opportunities
- Your resume and profile are not shared with employers unless you explicitly apply for a position or opt in to employer visibility
- You can delete your resume and profile data at any time from your account settings
- We retain resume data for as long as your account is active
6. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate our Services (hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics). These providers are contractually bound to use your data only for the services they provide to us
